Have You Ever Questioned Whether You Should File A Lawsuit?

A lot of people are hesitant to file a lawsuit, and generally try to avoid being involved in them for various reasons.

For instance, in some cases they don’t want to upset the other party, maybe they are friends, or colleagues. In some cases they don’t want to be viewed as greedy, or as filing the lawsuit as a means to make money. Most seem to have been hesitant to file because they don’t want to cause any trouble for anyone, though they themselves have been wronged in some way or have has some type of injustice occur to them.

Lawsuits are not about “getting paid” but rather are about inciting change in something that is wrong. Compensation is an anecdotal by-product that occurs after you win your lawsuit. Asking for fair compensation is a way to get the other party to start paying attention to the injustice that occurred to you.

What the goal is with any lawsuit is to change something.

To change a policy, change a procedure, change the way a structure is built, or even change the mentality of a corporation. Whatever it is, if unjust, filing a lawsuit will bring attention to it. The world has recognized the importance of justice in a free society.

Your right to bring grievances to the courts, in good faith, is protected by state and federal constitutions in a variety of ways. Your right to trial by jury in civil cases is also recognized.

What law firms and attorneys actually do is provide a service to consumers. You are actually not required to hire an attorney to provide their service for your legal matter.

You can represent yourself in court, however attorneys are trained in the nuances of how to provide legal services to you. They are trained to know what legal tricks will work best for your case. A lawyer knows the proper documents the court requires to be filed. An attorney will know the proper courtroom procedures. They are trained to know the law, trained to know your rights, and trained on how to protect you against injustice.

You aren’t required to hire an attorney for any legal matter you have, but it is an extremely wise thing to do, if you want to really change something that is wrong.

Let’s face it, typically people don’t like lawyers, but a good lawyer can be invaluable to you.

The problem most people have is they are unaware of how to connect with a good lawyer, and lawyers are well aware of this. This is why we see such a high number of lawyer commercials flooding the airwaves on both television and radio. All those legal advertisements are lawyers trying to connect with you, if you have what they feel is a good case. It can be overwhelming when the lawyers have identified you as someone with a good case and are trying to convince you to sign paperwork with them rather than someone else.

Could this be another underlying reason of why suing someone is typically associated with getting money or getting paid? Could this be an underlying reason why some are deterred from pursuing the injustice that happened to them? Or even worse, why some people try to fabricate a case in order to make money from the settlement? When the approach to a lawsuit is all about money, when it’s all about getting paid, true results will never arise.

The purpose of suing someone is not to get money from them for something, its to force them to change something that is wrong.

And let’s face it, there is a lot that is wrong that needs to be changed in our current society. Shouldn’t those responsible for what is wrong be held accountable for it?

Don’t be afraid to stand up and fight against injustice. When you have the right attorney giving you guidance down the legal road you are sure to get the attention of the other party and have them take your claim against them seriously. The right attorney will make sure you don’t have to question weather you should file a lawsuit or not.
